@sam yea… there seems to be a problem with Xcode 4.2 Lion iOS 5… I have the same issue… I get the error util/ldid.cpp(567): _assert(0:arch != NULL) when I try to ldid in terminal..

if anyone has a solution please post.. thanks!

@Biker its called “Linked Identity Editor” you can download using cydia gui

anyone had luck doing these steps with Xcode 4.2, Lion, IOS 5.0 ?

nice and clear information, thanks.

It worked for me, but, i restored and jailbroke my ipad again (4.2.1), same project doesnt run on the device this time.
it just crashes.
and some of the projects shows util/ldid.cpp(567): _assert(0:arch != NULL) message when i try to sign it with ldid -S.
if I use small s with ldid it show another message somthing like 0:signature!=null.

any idea

It is probably because you didn’t fake sign the binary file, can you again sign it with

ldid -S /Applications/Appname.app/Appname

I am getting error on building project:
CodeSign eror: code signing is required for product type ‘Application’ in SDK Device.
